Fit OutLocated in the heart of Sydney’s CBD is Visa’s new 1,000 sqm Sydney office, designed, delivered, and constructed by Vemi. The scope included reconfiguration of the existing workplace, encompassing a revitalised reception area, back-of-house meeting suites, and informal breakout zones, alongside integrated furniture and building services.
The design narrative draws from the surrounding urban environment of Sydney, responding to its tonal qualities such as the blues and greens of the harbour, the sandstone hues of the Opera House, and the warm, sunlit tones of the city’s ferry fleet. These elements are reflected through a curated palette of soft timbers, muted colours, and refined materials that stitch the new interventions into the existing architectural language.
The concept of a hidden urban oasis was layered into the spatial experience, offering moments of calm and retreat. Organic textures, verdant planting, and sculptural forms contrast with the city’s rigid geometry, supporting a more human-centric and biophilic environment. The outcome is a considered, contextually driven workspace that balances functionality with warmth, while subtly reinforcing Visa’s global identity through a distinctly Sydney lens.
