A Seamless Member Experience Grounded in National Brand & Local Context

Designed and delivered by Vemi, the CPA Sydney office is a strategic refurbishment that reimagines the professional member experience through the lens of modern functionality, accessibility, and brand-aligned design. The project sets a new national benchmark for the organisation by balancing a consistent corporate identity with the unique cultural and spatial opportunities of its Sydney location.

The project was underpinned by a strategy-led approach, using stakeholder workshops to translate CPA’s national objectives into a tech-enabled, flexible fit out. The resulting workspace supports a diverse range of work modes and member services: from high-spec boardrooms and acoustic-treated podcast rooms to vibrant member café and lounge area designed for connection. Transitioning from a traditional layout to an agile, “hot-desking” environment, the design optimises every square meter to foster collaboration between in-office, remote staff as well as visiting members while prioritising user wellness and inclusive navigation.

Accessibility and compliance were integrated as core design drivers rather than afterthoughts. Key structural interventions, such as the removal of legacy hobs and the installation of DDA-compliant ramps and automated glazing, ensure seamless indoor-outdoor flow to the balcony. By implementing a sophisticated zonal strategy, the office drastically improves acoustic performance and spatial logic, creating a sophisticated environment that caters to the evolving needs of both staff and members.
