Sense of Place
The Charter Hall spec suites were distributed across a single floor within the 737 Bourke Street building. Sitting within the middle of Docklands, the scope of works began with lift lobby refurbishment then grew to include two display suites and the ground floor lobby upgrade. The overarching concept was driven by the building’s context; celebrating two of Melbourne’s most iconic features – the animated arcades & scenic Docklands harbour. Each suite captures a unique personality offering a point of difference to potential tenants.
The Arcade Suite
A modern approach to a bygone era. Touching on the value heritage and encouraging discovery. The Arcade is a quirky, warm space that’s plays with vibrant pops of colour. Utilising earthy greens, burnt tones and raw materials. Subtle arch ways are incorporated into the design, paying homage to traditional arcade architecture.
The Harbour Suite
Docklands harbour connects the city to the ocean. Providing a humbling experience of serenity, and calm; embracing the tranquility of the sea. Soft blue tones add subtle colour accents balanced by heavier navy tones that give weight the palette. It maximizes the impeccable views of the harbour, taking advantage of the scenic opportunity.
